The Salon room is on the first floor in what would have been the grand reception room of the house. There are three original floors to ceiling windows overlooking the square with wooden fold out shutters, a decorative fireplace, antique chandelier, high ceilings with ornate plaster cornicing, polished antique floorboards with underfloor heating, super-king hand-carved bed, flat-screen Sony TV, tea and coffee making facilities, wifi and hairdryer. The room is painted a soft antique white from Farrow & Ball.  The en-suite bathroom with decadent chocolate brown mosaic tiles has a double-ended cast-iron roll-top bath,  double basins, walk-in shower, complimentary toiletries from Ren Skincare and decorative cast iron radiator.
